Jillian, Josh and Asher at the Butterfly Gardens
It was an eventful day- Asher jumped in the water and had
to go around in a diaper and coat after that!

This one's a little better

I guess this is how it goes trying to get 2 one-year-olds to
sit still for a picture! Anyway, here are Jillian and her cousin
Hunter at Grandma Gertsch's for Christmas.

One of my all-time favorite pictures of Jillian.
That's a little hand towel.

Wasn't it sweet of Kevin to take me to Cayman for our 2nd anniversary? He he. I'm pretty much a weanie - even snorkling totally freaked me out if the water was too deep!

We were married in the Washington, D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on June 11, 2005. From there we headed back out west to St. Louis where Kevin began medical school at St. Louis University. We enjoyed our first month in St. Louis visiting Nauvoo and checking out the local parks. Then it was back to business- Kevin kicked off his first year with the White Coat Ceremony and I went to work finishing up my nursing degree at SLU.

That year Kevin finished his degree in Biochemistry and I got one year of nursing school under my belt. So even if we hadn't decided to get married and spend eternity together, it was a big year for us! After Kevin's graduation we packed up our cars and headed back East.

Good things happen when you take out the trash...

We wanted to rewind a bit for those we haven't seen for a while, and for ourselves too.

Kevin and I met at a quaint little apartment complex off of BYU campus called the Riviera. (Incidentally Kevin's parents met there too.) At the time we both gave the credit to "Chance" but now we both admit there was a divine hand involved. Kevin's Aunt Jeannette had tried to cajole Kevin into asking me out to no avail but when we moved in right across the way from each other...well, we could not, nor can we now, deny it was meant to be. We initially met, bytheway, when Kevin decided to take out his trash as the new girls were pulling up. He offered to help us move out boxes into the apartment and the rest is history. As a gift at our wedding dinner, Kevin's parents presented us with a beautiful trash can that bears the inscription "Good things happen when you take out the trash." We have learned there are many times that this phrase can be applied.
