Charlie and Lola

Have you seen this entirely clever cartoon? It's about a olda brotha and his little sista, Lo-la. They're two of the cutest British kids ever and are very sweet to one another. Kevin and I find it just as entertaining as the kids. My two favorite episodes are "I am hurrying and I am very nearly ready" and "I am not sleepy and I will not go to bed." Oh, how I relate!

Playschool 2008/2009

Now that we've started another year of school I thought it was time to document Jill's first adventure with school. A good friend organized a playschool for the kids in our ward who were 2 and 3 years old and whose parents could get them to school as well as teach or assist every few weeks. Jill had a lot of fun doing it and, I think, learned how to be away from us outside of nursery, the tiny kids class at our church. Look at how much smaller they were when we started! Here's Janelle teaching an awesome music class, which I recently realized the monetary value of when I went to sign Jillian and Peter up for a class and found it would cost me $550 for a semester!

Eme and Chris

Don't you just love timed photos? I also love that you can see Eme's tonsils in this picture. May we all smile as easily as she does! We'll miss living closer to these guys! We're anxious to see where the future takes this powerhouse team.

Easter

Life got a little crazy around this time so I never got to record a visit from some of our best friends, the McAllisters. Karisa and I grew up together and now she's married to a future ophthalmologist too. (Uncanny, I know. You should hear about all the other similarities in our lives.) They're in Wisconsin for medical school and got to drive down and celebrate Easter with us. Unfortunately a pretty bad flu also decided to make the trip and they were all REALLY sick for most of the time. It was a bummer but they were such troopers about it and Karisa and Benson even ventured out for one of our planned outings, an Egg Hunt at SLU. It was a neat event that the whole St. Louis community is invited to for free- so check it out if you live there next Easter! It's on the lawns behind the College Church on Grand and Lindell. Anyway, here's Jill getting some loot. She even got an egg with a ticket for a bigger prize. Dad was a little disappointed when it was a stuffed bunny instead of a plasma screen. Maybe next time.
