Something that my girl does that is so sweet is nuzzle her little face into mine when she gets tired. she doesn't really do it with everyone, mostly with me and sometimes with dad, which is a reward more than i can quantify. she opens her arms wide and gives hugs as well. she loves to be hugged in tight with her body facing yours. she does not like to sit on my lap facing outwards but prefers to stand and face whoever is holding her, and occasionally will try to give "kisses," or suck right on your face. these little hugs and burrows remind me that she is so close to heaven, so fresh and untainted by anything, so perfect. it reminds me of the quote "it is no small thing when they, who are so fresh from heaven, love us." i need to paint this on my wall as a reminder to treat them as my superiors and not my subordinates! Lou has also, just in the last few days, taken a keen interest in the affairs of her brother and sister. She now strains to follow them with her eyes and gives them wide smiles whenever they glance her way, seemingly hoping to grasp their attention for an extra millisecond, as time truly is broken into milliseconds for them as they leap from activity to activity all day long. she doesn't hesitate to sound the alarm, as Kevin observed, and will loudly cry out if something is happening she doesn't particularly like, but she seeks their attention and rewards them openly with smiles when they give it. she's preparing already to join their band of comrades, which is good because they love her fiercely!
